The association is the local chapter of California Psychological Association. MBPA serves as a platform for residents of Monterey Bay, Santa Cruz county to find support, education and referral for psychologists and mental health professionals. The ethics committee's main job is to assure safety and accountability for the public’s use of mental health services and a place to voice concerns regarding any issues that may raise an ethical dilemma.
